This is the first week for 47 years that the UK has been outside the EU.  We are now a third country, which means we are no longer represented at the EU institutions.

Our last week in Brussels

Some lovely photos of our last week as MEPs.  The warmth of our EU colleagues, in spite of all the difficulties of Brexit was amazing.  I hope these strong relationships will help as the UK tries to build a strong future relationship with the EU.

Lucy appears as guest on the Liberal Democrat podcast

Had a great time talking to Lib Dem Podcast.  A lot has changed since we recorded this.  It is sad to think that the European Parliament is meeting this week in Strasbourg without UK MEPs.  They are discussing our future relationship, but with no UK representatives in the room. 

As I mention in the Podcast I am now back working on Local Government issues in the UK.  These remain hugely important, and very close to my heart!
